Cao Bang

Cao Bang is a small town located near the Chinese border and is home to the Tay ethnic minority group. It is like a very big plateau with thousand of mountains rising in vast area of flat land. There are nine ethnic minorities living in Cao Bang, including the Tay, Nung, Dao, and H’mong. Many tourists stop here on their trips around the North East of Vietnam because of its pleasant climate and some of the most stunning photo opportunities in Vietnam. The Ban Gioc waterfall, which is the largest and arguably the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam, is located right on the Chinese border. Of great historical interest is Pac Bo cave, the base from which Ho Chi Minh and his comrades began to organize the resistance movement in 1941. In an idyllic setting, this park, which includes Lenin Stream, is a fitting monument to the father of the nation.
